40% of supermarket employees spend their time walking from one location to another, often pushing and pulling heavy trolleys which is a physically demanding job.
Consumers are very price conscious and so supermarkets must continually look for areas where they can optimise their processes to continually offer better value to their customers.
Employees no longer want to do jobs that are repetitive and physically demanding, and so the supermarkets are struggling to find staff to carry out these jobs.
By automating the transportation of trolleys within the store, we can address the above-mentioned problems in parallel. Our application has also been designed for easy use, so that the staff in the store no matter what technical level will have a good and efficient experience with them. A simple app is used to scan a barcode on the trolley to be collected, and then our control system does all the work of selecting a robot to go pick it up.
For every pallet load of products that goes through the store, we can save 15 minutes of time, and for every online order fulfillment we can save 2 minutes.
